YME carries out public road occupation licensing (OVP) for works subject to prior control and those exempt from prior control (with the specifics under the Urban Buildings Legal Regime)
YME, Lda’s services include the full preparation of the OVP process, submission and monitoring with the authorities, with the aim of providing the Client with the authorisation and licensing required to carry out works that are subject to prior licensing or communication, in compliance with the legal requirements and applicable municipal regulations.

OVP for conservation works: In the case of conservation works exempt from prior control, works intended to maintain a building in the conditions existing at the time of its construction, reconstruction, extension or alteration, namely restoration, repair or cleaning works, occupation of the public highway may be necessary, for authorisation of scaffolding, siding, containers or deposits, even if the conservation works themselves do not require licensing, occupation of the public highway for their execution may require a specific licence.

OVP for alteration works inside buildings or fractions, which improve, do not harm or do not affect the stability structure, and which do not imply changes to the height, shape of façades, roofs or roofs.

OVP for works subject to prior control: Within the scope of the licence or prior communication, the public highway may be occupied with equipment to support the works, such as scaffolding and headers, scaffolding, deposits of materials and debris, ditches, containers, cranes, machinery, lifting devices or other related installations.

If the works are subject to licensing or prior communication, the licence to occupy the public highway can be requested at the same time as the application for licensing or prior communication.
